Mail-Order Roses Delivered for Planting in Early Spring

All roses in Austin’s North American mail-order collection are available as bare-root stock. New introductions typically sell out early.

Bare-root rose shipping season runs from January through May, with orders delivered at the right time for planting in a recipient’s area. Bare-root roses are live plants, shipped without soil in a dormant state. Planted in the cool soil of early spring, they quickly establish strong roots. The full collection is available as grafted stock. Selected varieties also are available own root, either as bare root stock or in 2-quart pots (U.S. only) shipped in either April-May or September-October. Besides mail order, many English Roses also are available at fine U.S. and Canadian garden centers that carry Austin roses. These are offered in 2-gallon pots, ready for planting throughout the growing season.

All David Austin roses sold in North America are grown in the U.S. and shipped from Austin’s U.S. headquarters in Tyler, Texas. David Austin Roses Limited is a family-owned business based in Shropshire, England. Austin-bred English Roses are sold in more than 30 countries.
