Gertrude Jekyll - David Austin English Rose

  • Title:  Gertrude Jekyll - David Austin English Rose
  • Description:  David Austin's 'Gertrude Jekyll' is one of the first roses to start flowering in late spring. The flowers open from perfect scrolled buds into the most beautiful large rosette-shaped flowers of rich glowing pink. It is one of the most strongly scented English Roses with a beautiful, well-balanced Old Rose scent - the archetypal rose fragrance. For these reasons and more, in 2011 'Gertrude Jekyll' was voted Britain's Favorite Rose in a Royal Horticulture Society poll. It grows to 5 ft tall by 3 1/2 feet wide or 8 to 10 feet as a climber. RHS "Award of Garden Merit." (David Austin 1986, Ausboard).
