Daffodil - Narcissus Thalia -

  • Title:  Daffodil - Narcissus Thalia -
  • Description:  Narcissus 'Thalia' has nodding pure white flowers, usually two to three per stem, with narrow petals and a delicate cup. They have a light, feathery quality. 'Thalia' is excellent for massing at the edge of woods or in a shrub border. It also grows well in the Deep South. This heirloom daffodil variety, almost 100 years old, is splendid in naturalized plantings with blue grape hyacinths (Muscari). Deer and rodents leave daffodils alone because they contain a bitter toxic alkaloid called lycorine. Foraging animals know not to eat them. Colorblends is a wholesale resource for top-quality flower bulbs. The Connecticut-based firm sells direct to land care professionals and home gardeners coast-to-coast. See or call 1-888-847-8637.
