Following is a sampler of what’s new from Colorblends.com to plant for Fall 2020:

Colorblends BedSpreads® Bouquet Beaucoup™ is an artful blend of pink, purple, yellow, and white tulips. The long-blooming display spans mid-late through late season. It’s a cheery mix that features five tulip varieties, some double flowered, some single. Variously 16- to 24-inches in height, all five varieties make excellent cut flowers, too. Colorblends BedSpreads® are elaborate blends scaled to larger areas. Plant them en masse, in clusters between shrubs and perennials, or scattered in naturalistic plantings. Bouquet Beaucoup is sold in increments of 500 bulbs only. Hardy in USDA Zones 3a-8b. Western limit 10b. (Prechill in USDA Zones 7b and warmer in the South, Southwest and California.) Available from Colorblends.com or 888-847-8637.

Colorblends Tulip Blend Judy Beauty™ is a mix of six chalice-shaped triumph tulips that bloom in midseason. The large flowers are in bright, fresh shades of white, yellow, reddish orange, red, rosy pink and yellow-orange. In an elegant touch, all six varieties selected by Colorblends share a kiss of yellow at the flower base. Judy Beauty grows 20- to 22-inches tall and is suited to planting in clusters, large displays and cutting gardens. Hardy in USDA Zones 3a-8b. Western limit 10b. (Prechill in USDA Zones 7b and warmer in the South, Southwest and California.) Available from Colorblends.com or 888-847-8637.

Colorblends Tulip Blend Zephyr™ blooms “above and below,” pairing 24-inch-tall, pink-and-white tulips with 18-inch-tall white tulips. Varied flower shapes add further interest. Zephyr is suited to planting in clusters, large displays and cutting gardens. Hardy in USDA Zones 3a-8b. Western limit 10b. (Prechill in USDA Zones 7b and warmer in the South, Southwest and California.) Available from Colorblends.com or 888-847-8637.

Colorblends Daffodil Blend Bloom Factory™ brings sweet fragrance and an abundance of soft-yellow, gold and white blooms to the midseason garden. This daffodil mix stands out for its small-flowered, multi-flowering varieties, which grow 13- to 15-inches tall. All may be considered miniatures — there’s not a large cup or big trumpet among them. The blend is suited to planting densely or in loose clusters. Hardy in USDA Zones 3a-7b. Western limit 9b. Available from Colorblends.com or 888-847-8637.

Colorblends Hyacinth Blend Scentsimilla™ is intensely fragrant, with a heady scent that perfumes the air in early bloom season. The blend features three magnificent hyacinth varieties in soft shades of blue, yellow and pink. In all three varieties, the floret color darkens in a striped tone-on-tone effect. The hyacinths stand 8- to 10-inches tall. Hardy in USDA Zones 4a-8b. Western limit 10b. (Prechill in USDA Zones 7b and warmer.) Available from Colorblends.com or 888-847-8637.

Colorblends Amaryllis Amplitude™ is an amaryllis lover’s delight. It’s a three-bulb sampler that features three classy, double-flowered varieties — offered at wholesale pricing, including value options for bulk orders. Treat yourself or divvy-out lots as holiday gifts.  Each is a stunner: ‘Double Delicious’ (satiny red, streaked with white), ‘Dancing Queen’ (candy striped in red and white) and ‘Double Dream’ (reddish pink, with layered petals). Colorblends is a leading wholesale resource for huge, high-quality amaryllis bulbs. Available from Colorblends.com or 888-847-8637.

Amaryllis ‘Horizon’ brings the amaryllis world a color it’s been waiting for: rich, flamboyant orange. There’s an air of tropical warmth to the large, elegant flowers. At the throat, the flower color darkens, nicely emphasizing the upcurled orange stamens tipped in yellow. The large bulbs are sized 32-34 cm. Colorblends is a leading wholesale resource for amaryllises, known for huge, high-quality bulbs. Available from Colorblends.com or 888-847-8637.

Daffodil ‘Apricot Whirl’ is a lovely split-corona Narcissus with white petals topped by apricot ruffles. This eye catcher stands 14- to 16-inches tall and blooms in early season. Hardy in USDA Zones 3a-7b. Western limit 9b. Available from Colorblends.com or 888-847-8637.

Daffodil ‘Sweet Ocean’ is a terrific new jonquil with double flowers and a light, sweet fragrance. It grows 14- to 16-inches tall and blooms itself silly in early-mid season. The yellow flowers open to reveal ruffled orange centers. Things change quickly as the yellow petals pale to creamy white and the orange centers take on pink accents. In the garden or landscape, a stand of ‘Sweet Ocean’ presents a multicolored blur of yellow, cream and white, laced with hints of orange and apricot pink. Hardy in USDA Zones 3a-7b. Western limit 9b. Available from Colorblends.com or 888-847-8637.

Daffodil ‘Tom Pouce’ is a large-cupped Narcissus so adorable it stops people in their tracks. The creamy yellow flowers are star-shaped. A white halo surrounds an apricot-colored cup with a ruffled rim. In the garden, shifting sunlight makes the pale petals appear luminous and the cups pick up glints of pink, coral or yellow. ‘Tom Pouce’ is 14- to 16-inches tall and blooms in early season. Hardy in USDA Zones 3a-7b. Western limit 9b. Available from Colorblends.com or 888-847-8637.

Hyacinth ‘Yellowstone’ adds an appealing new color to a flower family prized for fragrance. “This is, arguably, the best yellow color in hyacinths to date,” says horticulturist Christian Curless of Colorblends. ‘Yellowstone’ has rich butter-yellow florets that are accented by a darker yellow at the centers and flipsides. As the flowers age, the soft yellow fades to a creamy yellow, retaining strong presence. They stand nearly 10 inches tall and bloom in early season. Hardy in USDA Zones 4a-8b. Western limit 10b. (Prechill in USDA Zones 7b and warmer.) Available from Colorblends.com or 888-847-8637.
